A day in a Malay Sunday market – Malaysia

The early bird gets the worm and that is what you need to do if you are looking for the freshest food, you need to hit the fresh market early in the morning. We went to the market slightly after dawn and most of the best / fresh stuff is mostly gone. Either way, it was a good day at the market.

This market is located at Tanjung Tokong, Penang Island. It was a great experience to see some of the locals doing their grocery shopping.

Extra service provided by the Fishmonger. This guy will clean the gills and remove the scales of the fish for free. Talking about going above and beyond for the sale.

Butcher on wheel. This butcher will is selling from the back of his motorcycle. It takes skills to do this job, professional butcher and motorcyclist.

Super Bike

A modified bicycle with a baby carrier tied to the bicycle frame. I guess GIANT Bicycles can't replicate this.
