Hello. I spilled tea on mine this time and your technique was super useful.

However in the past, I've spilled simpler liquids on the poor thing and I've learned a few tricks. Don't take the keyboard apart if you pour water, soda or something that doesn't have any particles (or stickiness) in it. I suggest flipping the thing over with one hand while unplugging it with the other hand. The faster you unplug it, the better. Wipe all visible surfaces and then leave it upturned in a nice dry spot. An hour later (in crisp dry parts of the world), blow dry the keyboard with the heat setting at zero, or direct a high powered fan at it and it should be just fine.

See - she types for me now!!!
